Would You Survive? Every ARC Raiders Habitable Zone Rating
In the game ARC Raiders, there are many habitable locations. If these locations were real and not just fictional, but existed in our own world, how would their habitability rank in the current version of ARC Raiders? This article will rank these locations on a scale of 1 to 10, representing the highest level of comfort for survival.
Stella Montis
The first place I want to talk about is Stella Montis. It should have everything humans need for survival, as it was originally a massive research facility, said to be one of humanity's last lines of defense. Stella Montis contains a large medical research center, housing many new ARC Raiders medical items that can provide timely treatment when injured, ensuring our health and safety.
Meanwhile, a canteen with ample food and water was also found here. Next to the canteen is a lounge with some facilities for relaxation and play. Most importantly, Stella Montis also contains a seed vault, safely storing some of the last remaining relics on Earth.
Everything sounds so wonderful, seemingly perfect for human habitation. However, there's a particularly serious problem: there are no toilets. According to one player, this was confirmed. I later verified this in the game, searching every room in Stella Montis, and concluded that this area indeed lacks toilets, and even bathrooms and beds are absent. Sleeping and bathing become major issues.
Besides this, Stella Montis faces another significant problem, or rather, a threat. This threat originates from the local inhabitants. It's not that the inhabitants are difficult to get along with, but most raiders come to Stella Montis seeking revenge, leading to frequent battles. You might be accidentally killed by raiders on the street, leaving corpses strewn everywhere, a truly horrific scene and an inferior quality of life.
Based on the above, the final rating is 3 out of 10. The harsh living conditions mean we might not survive more than a week here.
The Blue Gate
The second place I want to mention is The Blue Gate, which seems to offer a slightly better living environment than Stella Montis. This place was once ruled by Mantikor, and is said to be the home of the sole survivors after Earth's destruction. If they can all survive here, I believe it could be habitable. The surface of The Blue Gate has been destroyed, the rooms are in ruins, and garbage is everywhere; there's almost nothing usable left.
But thankfully, there's a bunker here, equipped with a rainwater filtration system, meaning we'll have a continuous supply of clean drinking water. There's also a medical room with a row of beds where we can rest after cleaning.
As for food, there's probably none here; we'll have to search in the olive groves outside, where we should be able to find olives and pears to eat.
The community situation here isn't as bad as Stella Montis; you can see groups of bandits. But staying here isn't a long-term solution, as the living conditions are truly appalling.
In conclusion, I would give The Blue Gate a score of 4 out of 10; it's not very suitable for humans to live in long term.
Dam Battlegrounds
The place I'm going to talk about next is Dam Battlegrounds. Although it's a battlefield, there are quite a few ARC Raiders items left behind by previous inhabitants. In the model house at the very top of the map, there's a room with a shower. Nearby are several small red buildings, fully equipped and richly stocked. Bedrooms, kitchens, and living rooms are all available; the kitchen even has an espresso machine, which is a pleasant surprise.
Afterwards, I found a self-service restaurant. Although there were no chefs or food left, some plates and other tableware remained, so I'm confident we can find stored food nearby. If not, we can head to the hydroponic dome complex, where there are ARC Raiders materials left behind by previous inhabitants, allowing us to grow our own food.
The only risk in Dam Battlegrounds area is the occasional electromagnetic storm, which brings extremely high voltage surges. If this can be avoided, I believe it would be a good place for people to live.
Based on the above analysis, I would give Dam Battlegrounds a score of 6 out of 10; humans could live here for a period of time.
Spaceport
Next, we'll talk about Spaceport. Living here would likely be extremely challenging for humans, as it wasn't originally built for humans but to house rockets essential for human survival.
However, there are some habitable areas: the arrival building and the departure building. These contain offices, cubicles, and medical laboratories, storing some medicine and food, but not much.
But both buildings are infested with rats; they're everywhere, making the living environment precarious. No one would want to share a room with rats. In addition, we would have to contend with drought, as this place is essentially a vast desert.
In conclusion, I believe this place is unsuitable for human habitation, so I've decided to give it a score of 1.
Speranza
Next, we'll discuss Speranza, Toledo's oldest neighborhood. Although it's not on the ground, it might be the only place in the world where you can still eat and drink, and most importantly, interact with others. People here can have their own rooms and decorate them as they please. The only threat is that if we want to upgrade, we'll have to go back to the surface.
Speranza is perfectly habitable for humans, with a prime quality of life, so I'd give it a 10/10; I'd love to live there.
Buried City
The last, and most important, place I want to talk about is Buried City. This place was buried by sandstorms for a long time, then resurfaced, only to be destroyed by ARC.
Buried City was supposed to be habitable, with no external threats, yet the apartments are utterly unwelcoming. There's not much inside, just a few worn-out beds, many of them filthy. If you're lucky, you might find a piano and play some beautiful music.
Next to the apartments is a library where you can find all sorts of books for human learning and entertainment. There's also a hospital, with no shortage of medicine and beds. But we probably couldn't possibly live here.
I’m so glad we don't actually live on the topside. If we could, there would be no Speranza, no raiders, and certainly no amazing game like ARC Raiders.
That concludes this article, which provided a detailed analysis of some locations in ARC Raiders. I hope you enjoyed it and had a better gaming experience. Feel free to share your thoughts with others.
