Simply dodging isn't the mark of a hero. When you stop hearing the scream and feel the attack stop, seize this brief opportunity and aim directly at Shredders' Thrusters. Don't linger; after you've been hit, continue to seek cover. This is because Shredders will release Shrapnel again. By skillfully combining and cycling through offense and cover, Shredders will soon be ignited.

When Shredders explode, it's best not to let your guard down and leave your cover - a crucial but easily overlooked step. Use the lulls in the explosions to deliver a final, fatal blow. After the fight, you can safely loot Shredders' corpses.
