In Path of Exile 3.27 Keeper of the Flame, the biggest change compared to the previous mechanics is the introduction of the new Grafts system. In addition to their inherent skills, players can equip items to gain special Graft Skills. These skills cannot be acquired through other means.

Grafts are generated through The Genesis Tree. They not only provide passive bonuses but also grant special skill enhancements. Therefore, Grafts have garnered significant attention in this 3.27 update.

It's important to note that Grafts cannot be obtained through regular Path of Exile currency, they can only be crafted using Implant currency items.

At the same time, the large variety of Grafts and their differing effects have caused considerable confusion for some players, making it difficult to understand and remember their specific effects. If you also have questions about Grafts, then this guide is for you!

How To Quickly Master Grafts In POE 3.27? | Types, Skills & Running Tips

Graft Types And Skill Introduction

In Path of Exile 3.27, there are 16 types of Grafts, divided into four main categories: Uulgrafts, Xophgrafts, Eshgrafts, and Tulgrafts. I will now provide a detailed introduction.

Uulgrafts:

Spiking Uulgraft - Seize the Flesh

When your character uses Warcry skill, spires of bone will appear on the surrounding ground. When you use Exerted Attack, these spires will explode, dealing area damage and inflicting Bleeding and Impaling effects on enemies. This skill has an 8-second cooldown.

Hardening Uulgraft - Tender Embrace

When your character is in a Low Life state, using this skill will grant you a periodic buff, increasing health regeneration and granting an Endurance Charge. The skill needs to be used again after a 4-second interval.

Battering Uulgraft - Return to Dust

When facing rare or legendary enemies that are difficult to defeat, this skill will periodically lock onto them. The skill has a 10-second cooldown. Summons a giant hand to strike the ground, dealing high damage and stunning enemies.

Impaling Uulgraft - Violet Desire

When your character is in Rage form, using this skill grants a periodic buff, giving you a chance to deal an additional Impale damage, and increasing the effectiveness of Impale damage. This skill has a 16-second cooldown.

Xophgrafts:

Molten Xophgraft - Heart of Flame

When your character's health is low, using this skill grants a buff that will absorb some damage when you are attacked before the effect wears off. The skill has a 20-second cooldown. It also fires a ball of fire that explodes upon impact.

Erupting Xophgraft - His Burning Message

When commanded, this skill triggers a violent volcanic eruption, leaving behind numerous fiery fountains. It has a 35-second cooldown. These fountains periodically spew scorching mortar shells, with the effect intensifying with each use of Warcry. However, note that triggering Warcry will not trigger the mortar shell eruptions.

Flamecaller Xophgraft - Call the Pyre

When equipped, this Graft summons the fourth pillars of ashen flame, dealing area-of-effect fire damage and shrouding enemies in ash. This skill has a very short cooldown of only 1 second.

Stoking Xophgraft - The Grey Wind Howls

When equipped, this Graft instantly removes elemental status ailments from the character. It also grants bonus Physical damage of the elemental type corresponding to the removed ailments. It has an 8-second cooldown.

Eshgrafts:

Storming Eshgraft - Wreathed in Light

When your character uses this skill, it summons a ring of lightning that deals damage and leaves Radiant ground. This skill has a 15-second cooldown.

Replicating Eshgraft - Glowing Silhouette

When an enemy approaches, this Graft periodically summons your Lightning-Imbued Clones. These clones approach enemies and explode around them, leaving Shocked Ground. This skill requires a five-second cooldown before use.

Draining Eshgraft - Enervating Grasp

When your character uses this Graft, it summons numerous hands holding weakened lightning orbs. When enemies approach these hands, the lightning orbs explode, dealing damage and inflicting a weakening effect. This skill has a 12-second cooldown.

Jolting Eshgraft - Overcharged Sinews

When your character uses this skill and critically strikes an enemy, it grants you a stack of Jolt effect. This effect increases your maximum attack damage, but at the cost of taking more damage. Note that this skill can stack up to 10 times. Its cooldown is a mere 0.3 seconds.

Tulgrafts:

Squalling Tulgraft - Dance in the White

This skill summons a powerful tornado that deals frost damage to enemies within its range. When the tornado critically hits, it fires a burst of ice spikes for secondary damage. And cooldown is 24 seconds.

Freezing Tulgraft - Falling Crystals

When equipped, this Graft periodically fires Icy Mortars at nearby frozen or frozen enemies. The skill cooldown time is uncertain, but it ranges from 1.02 to 0.35 seconds.

Summoning Tulgraft - The Great Avalanche

When using Offering skill, this summons numerous Hiveborn Breach Monsters to fight for you. Cooldown is 18 seconds. Physical Damage of these summoned monsters is converted to Cold Damage. It also has a chance to inflict Brittle on Hit when an enemy is hit.

Aegis Tulgraft - Preserving Stillness

When a character uses an Exposures skill on an enemy, this Graft grants a buff that protects the character from Elemental Damage for the duration. The skill has a 6-second cooldown.

The above is a detailed description of all Grafts and their generated Graft Skills. However, note that only Graft Skills have level or attribute requirements for the character; Grafts do not. Therefore, if your character does not meet the requirements, the skill will not trigger. However, the passive effects attached to Graft are still effective.

How To Obtain The Desired Grafts?

Some special passive nodes in The Genesis Tree allow characters to use Growing Wombgifts, which increases the drop rate of certain types of Grafts. You can use this mechanism to farm Grafts you want.

If you don't want to grow them yourself, you can also trade them with other characters for Grafts you want. Because in PoE 3.27, all Grafts are tradable. Meanwhile, Graft Skills have a significant advantage: they don't consume any of the character's resources, such as mana or health, they only consume Graft itself. This is like an extra benefit for the player. The character's inherent attributes don't affect their damage calculation, and reflected damage from any Graft Skill used by the character has no effect on the character.

How To Increase The Level Of Graft Skills?

Some Graft Skills require players to actively activate them, while others can be activated automatically once the trigger conditions are met.

Since the damage a Graft Skill deals to enemies or the defense it provides is determined by its own level, and the level of Graft item determines the skill's level, and Graft's level depends on the level of the corresponding Growing Wombgift, it's a chain reaction. Therefore, players can increase the level of the final Graft Skill by upgrading the level of the corresponding items at each stage, thus achieving the desired effect.

This concludes the introduction to the various Graft types and their corresponding skills in Path of Exile 3.27, and a summary of some frequently asked questions. We hope this guide is helpful, and we welcome any additions!
