In addition, the game developers are encouraging players to review and provide feedback on two specific systems before the patch goes live.

This is the first time since the game’s release that the developers have encouraged players to prioritize reviewing certain features.

This is also the first time since the game’s release that the game has included so many updates. Some of these updates are good news for players, while others are not.

Good News

The good news is that Version 1.1.20.0 will prevent the presence of Ornithopter griefers in PvE areas.

Previously, griefers had brought their unreasonable harassment from Deep Desert to Hagga Basin.

This unreasonable harassment involved griefers using Ornithopters to trap their victims until they were torn apart by worms.

Ever since this type of griefer harassment began in Deep Desert, game officials attempted to curb it by expanding PvE area. However, this was to no avail.

After all, everyone knows that the entire Hagga Basin is a PvE area, yet griefers could still indirectly kill other players by introducing worms there.

Many players criticized this as an abuse of the game mechanics and not legitimate PvP, and hoped that this situation would be addressed soon.

Fortunately, the game developers did not disappoint the players. Version 1.1.20.0 completely stopped the behavior of Ornithopter griefers.

The system will automatically push away griefers who continue to harass other players using colliding aircraft.

To help players test this new automatic pop-up feature, the game developers have provided a top-tier buggy, a Scout Ornithopter, an Assault Ornithopter, and a Carrier Ornithopter to test server players.

Players who need the test server can request them through Claim menu after creating a character.

Bad News

The bad news is that players can no longer ride the worm, and flour sand farming is also dangerous.

Players Can No Longer Ride The Worm

Previously, some players could briefly ride the giant sandworm without consequence. However, this exploit has been fixed in Version 1.1.20.0.

According to the patch notes, any contact with the sandworm’s body will result in the player’s death or the destruction of their vehicle.

Whether intentional or accidental, colliding with a moving sandworm can have devastating consequences.

Flour Sand Farming Is Dangerous

Another unfortunate change for players is that Version 1.1.20.0 relocates all Flour Sand and Spice Sand fields in Hagga Basin to areas with worms.

Flour sand farming used to be harmless, but this latest update forces players to develop a strategic approach to gathering basic materials to mitigate risks.

Other Changes

In addition to some new features and general fixes, Version 1.1.20.0 also includes new changes to Deep Desert and Landsraadde. These are as follows:

  • Adds more land for factions to fight over and build bases, while also increasing resource yields.
  • Landsraad Houses may now require Dune Awakening Solari to be delivered.
  • Worms in Deep Desert now have a higher chance of using the shorter breach version of their animation.
  • The communinet warnings that appeared before Coriolis storm buildup began are now more clearly conveyed.

These are the changes you should be aware of in Dune Awakening Public Test Client: Version 1.1.20.0. Understanding these changes ahead of time will help you better farm the game.
