Discover Everything Coming in FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 7.5 - Ultimate Kefka Raid, Beastmaster Job & More
A game brimming with fantasy and adventure elements, running for over a decade, will be releasing new content on April 28th. That's right, it's FINAL FANTASY XIV Online's 7.5 patch, Trailer to the Heavens.
Producer and game director Naoki Yoshida recently hosted the 92nd episode of Letter from Producer LIVE broadcast. During the broadcast, he showed us a trailer, which, although only three minutes long, revealed a great deal.
It seems the heroes and their companions have embarked on a new journey.

Since version 7.0, FF XIV, which emphasizes its storyline, has received considerable criticism due to its narrative. Perhaps part of the reason is that the storylines of 6.0 and 5.0 were so compelling that Naoki Yoshida felt it was difficult to surpass them.
But story aside, it remains an excellent MMORPG, offering players a wealth of gameplay and thrilling dungeons. Like the new Ultimate Raid, the new Limited Job Beastmaster, the new PvP area, and more in this update,
Let me introduce you to some of the more interesting updates:
New Ultimate Raid
This is the update most anticipated by players who love a challenge. Ultimate Raids are the most difficult dungeons in the game, requiring multiple players to work together to conquer them.
Clearing an Ultimate Raid might take months of effort, and the rewards are proof of a player's high skill level.
Just when players were starting to get tired of the existing five Ultimate Raids, Naoki Yoshida finally introduced the sixth. This means some players will be busy for the next few months, as exploring a completely unknown Ultimate Raid requires a significant amount of time.
Although Naoki Yoshida didn't reveal which boss players will face in the new Ultimate Raid, the 92nd livestream gave us a very clear hint - it's Kefka Palazzo.
Kefka Palazzo is a very popular boss in Final Fantasy series. His clown-like appearance and penchant for toying with players, along with his constantly shifting attack logic, have caused many players considerable headaches.
With Kefka Palazzo becoming the boss of Ultimate Raid, this means the new Ultimate Raid will be the most difficult ever. If you're interested in him, be sure to prepare enough Final Fantasy XIV Gil to upgrade your gear to the highest possible level.
New Limited Job - Beastmaster
Following Pictomancer, FF14 has introduced a new job, Beastmaster. Similar to the initial release of Pictomancer, some players questioned whether Beastmaster fit the game's lore.
However, it seems players' understanding of Eorzea is incomplete. After all, Pictomancer was seamlessly integrated into the game's background and received much praise.
New Limited Job is the highlight of this update. Some players speculate it will be similar to Summoner, involving summoning pets and switching between them for magical or physical attacks.
But where do the pets come from? Do they need to be collected like in Pokemon, or like in Summoners? Will Beastmasters only summon one pet at a time, or can they summon multiple pets to cooperate? We don't know yet.
As usual, players need to complete specific quests to obtain a new class, and will receive a basic set of gear along with the new class.
If you want to use the new class in the current version's dungeons, relying solely on the free gear provided by the game will be insufficient. Therefore, preparing enough Final Fantasy XIV Gil to trade for more powerful gear from other players or crafting your own gear is clearly essential.
PvP Updates
While FF14 is widely popular for its PvE gameplay, it also has a loyal PvP player base, so this PvP update has garnered their attention.
First is the launch of PvP Series 11. Like previous Series, participating in various PvP activities and earning points will unlock specific rewards. Usually, players only need to participate in Crystalline Conflict once a day, and all the rewards can be obtained within one or two months.
It's said that Naoki Yoshida has also made some adjustments to PvP gameplay. While the specifics are still unknown, it's likely aimed at improving game balance, something he's consistently done well in.
Then there's the new Crystalline Conflict arena - Archeia Harmonia. Crystalline Conflict gameplay is similar to MOBA games like League of Legends, but in a three-way battle format. Each team earns points by destroying the crystals of other teams.
Strategic planning using the map is fundamental. The new map means PvP players will have new fun, and the player who learns the map fastest will have a better chance of winning.
Housing Update and Armoire Update
If you're not interested in PvP or PvE and just want a casual gaming experience, you can also look forward to the upcoming Housing Update and Armoire Update.
First, Housing Update increases limits for interior and exterior furnishings and adds new interior designs. Players who enjoy decorating their homes can make them more luxurious.
Next up is Armour Update, which further increases the number of items Glamour Dresser can hold. If you're a player who loves collecting beautiful clothes, this means your wardrobe is expanding again - feel free to fill your Glamour Dresser with all your favorite Glames!
These are some of the updates for Trail to the Heavens. In addition, there will be new quests, a new Dungeon, a new Alliance Raid, and more.
These won't all be released on April 28th, but will gradually be available to players in the upcoming 7.5 Patch. Are you looking forward to Trail to the Heavens?
