Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Iansan Best Builds - Battle Mode, Weapon, Artifact Set And More
When Genshin Impact version 5.5 arrived with the fiery breath of Natlan, the four-star Electro character Iansan made waves among the player community with his unique Nightsoul mechanic.
Traditionally, four-star characters have limited late-game potential because if you’ve been playing for a while, it’s usually not worth it to build a four-star character relatively speaking because you might have a better five-star counterpart. But surprisingly, this is not the case for the four-star Electro character Iansan released in the 5.5 update. As long as there is a good Iansan build, this is one of the most powerful four-star supports compared to Bennett and others. This Electro Support will work strategic wonders.
Overview
Unlike traditional four-star supports such as Bennett, Iansan’s value is reflected in three dimensions:
- Constellation unlocking mechanism: Even if it is not obtained in the Character Event Wish in Phase 1, its permanent four-star attribute ensures that you can continue to pull her and her constellation over time.
- Cross-version adaptability: The Nightsoul system is naturally compatible with the Elemental Mastery system, showing unique advantages in the current Hyperbloom/Burgeon-dominated Meta.
- Exploration and combat dual-excellence design: The 30% movement speed bonus and Enhanced Jump ability provided by Nightsoul State make it a Tier 1 choice for Open-World exploration.
It is worth noting that Iansan’s strength curve undergoes a qualitative change at Constellation 4-when the Dance of the Eternal Ember is unlocked, the natural decay rate of Nightsoul Points is reduced by 60%, greatly alleviating the operating pressure. This is also the core reason it is recommended to cultivate this character for a long time.
Iansan Build
The biggest benefit of Iansan being a 4-star hero is that even if you don’t get her on the first banner, you can passively pull her and her constellation over time. This, combined with the future-proof gear, makes Iansan worthy of having one of the best artifact sets and weapons for her.
Artifact Set
Best Option - Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City
- 2-Piece Set Effect: Energy Recharge +20% When a nearby party member triggers Nightsoul Burst, the equipped character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.
- 4-Piece Set Effect: Elemental Reaction is triggered when in Nightsoul State, increasing the corresponding elemental damage of the entire team by 40% for 12 seconds.
Of course, if you haven’t unlocked the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City domain yet, using Noblesse Oblige and Tenacity of the Millelith as a replacement is also a good choice for you.
However, special attention during the transition period: When using Noblesse Oblige, it is recommended to increase Iansan’s Elemental Burst level to Lv.9 or above to maximize its basic bonus effect.
Weapon Selection
Best Option
Engulfing Lightning: Its ER secondary attribute is perfect for the needs, which can greatly increase Iansan’s Energy Recharge. At the same time, it can also increase her ATK according to her ER through the passive Timeless Dream, allowing Iansan to improve the auxiliary efficiency while ensuring the cycle.
Favonius Lance: It can trigger the property of additional Energy Particles through Crit, which significantly improves the energy cycle of the whole team.
Prototype Starglitter: It is a forgeable 4-Star polearm that can provide stable Energy Recharge at refinement 5.
Personally, I think Engulfing Lightning is undoubtedly the most suitable weapon for Iansan. It perfectly fits Iansan’s fighting style and maximizes Iansan’s abilities. But without this weapon, players can actively participate in the event and accumulate Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals to get the other suitable 5-Star weapon.
Alternatives
- Skyward Spine: It increases Crit Rate by 8% and provides an attack speed bonus.
- Tamayuratei no Ohanashi: It is an event-exclusive weapon that provides 24% Energy Recharge and ATK chaining bonus at refinement 5.
- Dragon’s Bane: It performs well in the Hyperbloom system.
Battle Mode
After switching Iansan to launch Elemental Skill to enter Nightsoul State, immediately follow up with Elemental Burst, apply Nightsoul Blessing. And perform 3 Normal Attacks to trigger the Precision Movement effect. Then switch to the main DPS to start output and maintain Nightsoul Points by moving/jumping during this period.
Also, when Iansan is not an active character, you can see her Nightsoul points below the HP on the right as a separate bar. You will see this bar actively decrease and increase, and when the Nightsoul Icon in the upper right corner of the screen is orange-red, it means that the current points are > 42.
Talent Priority
Based on the current information, her Elemental Burst is obviously the focus of upgrading, because you can use it to get all the main buffs of this character.
And her Normal Attack you can almost ignore. Because once you have a second constellation, the precision movement effect can be applied with her burst. So when you get a higher constellation, you don’t even need to use her basic attack.
- Elemental Burst: Can cause Nightsoul-aligned electric damage. When using this skill, Iansan will gain 15 Nightsoul points and enter the Night Soul Blessing state.
- Elemental Skill: Iansan dashes forward a distance, dealing Nightsoul Electricity damage to all opponents along the way. After using this skill, Iansan will recover 54 Nightsoul points and enter Nightsoul’s Blessing state.
- Normal Attack: If you click the normal attack button, Iansan can perform three consecutive spear attacks. Holding the button causes Iansan to consume his stamina to dash forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way.
Team Building
- Iansan + Yoimiya + Chevreuse + Fischl
Use Chevreuse’s Overload enhancement and Iansan’s ATK bonus to create a high-frequency blasting system
- Iansan + Nahida + Xingqiu + Kuki Shinobu
Iansan triggers Hyperbloom through high-frequency Electro Application, while providing movement bonus to optimize positioning
- Iansan + Lyney + Bennett + Kazuha
Can take into account both the efficiency of large world exploration and Abyss burst output
The emergence of Iansan marks an important change in Genshin Impact character design-four-star characters are no longer just transitional options for novices, but can gain long-term strategic value through mechanism innovation.
No matter how you look at it, Iansan is a change in the possibilities of auxiliary characters. Now, it’s time for her to shine on your team!
