In Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, Greater Affixes are a type of affix that only appears on Ancestral gear dropped in the highest difficulty dungeons. They can directly increase a specific stat on the gear to 1.5 times its maximum. Therefore, obtaining gear with Greater Affixes is one of the ultimate goals for every player.

But how do you obtain Greater Affixes? How can you acquire the most Greater Affixes in the shortest amount of time?

Below, I will introduce four methods; you can choose the one that suits you best to try.The Ultimate Greater Affixes Farming Guide For Diablo 4 Lord Of Hatred

Purveyor of Curiosities

Of all the methods, the fastest is to obtain them directly from Purveyor of Curiosities. Purveyor of Curiosities is a tradable NPC that you can find in many cities in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred - such as Kyovashad, Ked Bardu, Cerrigar, etc.

You can find various levels of Diablo 4 Items at Explorer of Curiosities, including Magic, Rare, Ancestral Legendary, Unique, and Mythic Unique items, as well as Ancestral items with Greater Affixes. You can also find various equipment pieces - gloves, boots, rings, amulets, main-hand weapons, and armor body parts.

This is a faster and more precise method than challenging bosses and opening chests in dungeons. If your build is largely complete, but a particular piece of equipment is significantly lagging behind, then obtaining it directly from Explorer of Curiosities is the best option.

However, you can only obtain these items using Murmuring Obols, not gold. Murmuring Obols can be obtained by completing Nightmare Dungeons and opening chests, and completing World and Zone Events. Make sure you have enough Murmuring Obols.

Additionally, you can exchange Whispering Keys from Explorer of Curiosities. These can be used to open a special type of chest called Silent Chests, which may contain Ancestral items with Greater Affixes. If you have enough Murmuring Obols, you can also try your luck this way.

Lair Bosses

Lair Bosses are the most consistent source of top-tier weapons in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. Whether it's Unique, Mythic Uniques, or Ancestral items with Greater Affixes, they can all be obtained by defeating Lair Bosses and opening their chests.

Under the current game mechanics, Lair Bosses are divided into three tiers based on difficulty: Initial, Greater, and Exalted, progressing progressively. The higher the difficulty, the greater the required build strength and skill level, making them more difficult to defeat, but the corresponding rewards are also more generous and enticing.

To acquire many Ancestral items with Greater Affixes by defeating Lair Bosses, you must first activate Middle Path talent in War Plans. Activating Middle Path talent significantly increases the amount of loot dropped by Lair Bosses.

Specifically, with Middle Path talent active, defeating a Lair Boss has a chance to spawn a new one, and defeating higher-level Lair Bosses may even drop large chests. Once your build is strong enough to continuously attack multiple Lair Bosses, rotating between them becomes one of the fastest ways to obtain Greater Affixes.

However, note that opening chests requires Diablo 4 Lair Boss Keys; otherwise, even if you defeat Lair Boss, you won't receive anything. Make sure you have enough Lair Boss Keys.

Accursed Ritual

If you feel that farming Lair Bosses isn't fast enough and you want to acquire a massive amount of Ancestral items and Greater Affixes in a shorter time, then don't miss Accursed Ritual gameplay in Helltides.

Accursed Ritual is widely recognized as one of the strongest endgame modes in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, offering a huge amount of experience and gear.

Specifically, it's a high-intensity elite encounter: hordes of monsters swarm, the map is filled with elite enemies, and you need to constantly kill them, culminating in defeating the final boss, Blood Maiden.

To activate Accursed Ritual, you need three key items called Baneful Hearts. You can team up with several players, each contributing one Baneful Heart, which reduces the burden on everyone. Furthermore, fighting alongside other players speeds up the kill rate of various monsters and the final boss, allowing you to acquire a large amount of loot in a short time.

In War Plans, there's a Skill Tree specifically for Accursed Ritual enthusiasts. Unlocking Skill Points grants buffs such as increased experience gain, increased loot drops, and double material drop rates. If you want to acquire Greater Affixes this way, remember to unlock the relevant Skill Points beforehand.

Nightmare Dungeons and Kurast Undercity

In Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, Nightmare Dungeons are also a great way to farm Greater Affixes: you enter Dungeons, kill monsters, open chests along the way, gain experience, and advance War Plans. Nightmare Dungeons are advantageous due to their high stability and consistency; with enough patience, you can obtain a large amount of items.

However, if you want to farm gear faster, you should use Kurast Undercity. Kurast Undercity is a Dungeon with a timed challenge where you must complete the battles within Undercity within a limited time. However, you'll gain extra time each time you defeat a monster.

By fighting monsters in Undercity and completing various random quests, you might obtain Tributes - these can be used to apply special rules to dungeons and grant you specific rare rewards. For example, if you're missing a piece of gear with Greater Affixes, you can use Tributes to that piece to apply special rules to the dungeon, increasing the drop rate of that gear.

These are four ways to quickly obtain gear with Greater Affixes in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. Hopefully, this helps.
